  • Punch 3 ovals out of the DSP
  • Fold all 3 in half
  • Cut a dovetail in the first one, you'll end up with 2 dovetail pieces. Set aside.
  • On the other 2 folded ovals, put a dab of adhesive on the curved part and press together.
  • Put the 2 units together with a dab of adhesive
  • Adhere the 2 dovetail pieces to your bow piece, arranging them so they go past the folded ovals.

Oh Hello Card with Sunburst Technique

This is inspired from the card on page 110 of the catalog

Oh Hello Stamp Set (page 34)
Wood $25.95 131931 - Clear $18.95 130733

Stamp Set: Oh Hello
Cardstock: Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Eastern Elegance
Ink: Crushed Curry
Ribbon: Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon
Button: Faceted Designer Buttons
Baker's Twine: Whisper White colored with Coastal Cabana ink.

Tips!!
  • Stamp the greeting first, just in case you make a mistake stamping later on, you won't waste all the DSP and your time :-)
  • To make triangles out of DSP: cut strips of 4" x 1 1/2" and then cut them diagonally
  • To make custom colored twine: use a dauber to hold the twine over your ink pad, and pull to die the twine. Continue until the whole piece is colored. It takes a few minutes to dry!
  • Use Sticky Strip to hold the ribbon

Sunburst Photo Tutorial:

Before you start:
  • Cut strips of DSP 4" x 1 1/2" and cut them in half diagonally. You'll need about 8 or 9.
  • Cut a the base panel 5" x 3 3/4"
  • Stamp your greeting first (see note above)
  • Center it on your grid paper and place a extra wide Post It note across, hiding 1 1/2" from the bottom of the panel.
  • Put Two Way glue or Snail adhesive all over the uncovered portion of the panel
  • Starting on each side, line the first 2 pieces of DSP along the Post It note.
  • Continue with the other strips. I did not overlap my triangles

  • The last triangle may need to overlap the two next to it. If so, use a little Snail adhesive on each side.
  •  Turn the panel over and trim the excess DSP on all 3 sides.
  • Voilà!

  • Put a strip of Sticky Tape along the edge and place the Ruffle Ribbon.
  • Add a button and twine with glue dots.
  • Use dimensionals to place the panel on your card.
I hope this will help. Email me if you have questions.

My 1st Stampin'Up Convention was a total blast!!

I will post NEW PRODUCTS & SAMPLES this week but for now...

I got to get my picture taken with 3 Demonstrators I love, so I want to share!

Here's the hilarious Justin Krieger and Brian King
I bumped into them at the end of my tour of the Riverton Office.
I just had to get a photo of them with me in the middle :-)
They were both so friendly!!

And here's my photo with the fabulous Mary Fish on Awards Night (thank you Sue!!)
She was so sweet and gracious!

The line for a photo with Shelli was so long, it was closed when I got there :-(
But her great husband Sterling was right there so I got a photo with him!
