PAPER BOW WITH THE LARGE OVAL PUNCH
- Punch 3 ovals out of the DSP with the Large Oval punch
- Fold all 3 in half
- Cut a dovetail in the first one, you'll end up with 2 dovetail pieces. Set aside.
- On the other 2 folded ovals, put a dab of adhesive on the curved part and press together.
- Put the 2 units together with a dab of adhesive
- Adhere the 2 dovetail pieces to your bow piece, arranging them so they go past the folded ovals.
- Turn your piece and voilà!
- Cover the center area with an embellishment like a button, or a 1/2" circle punched out of cardstock.
SUNBURST TECHNIQUE
Find this card and the supplies in my All Occasions Stamp Camp post (July 27, 2013).
Before you start:
- Cut strips of DSP 4" x 1 1/2" and cut them in half diagonally. You'll need about 8 or 9.
- Cut a the base panel 5" x 3 3/4"
- Stamp your greeting first (just in case you make a mistake stamping later on, you won't waste all the DSP and your time!)
- Center it on your grid paper and place a extra wide Post It note across, hiding 1 1/2" from the bottom of the panel.
- Put Two Way glue or Snail adhesive all over the uncovered portion of the panel
- Starting on each side, line the first 2 pieces of DSP along the Post It note.
- Continue with the other strips. I did not overlap my triangles
- The last triangle may need to overlap the two next to it. If so, use a little Snail adhesive on each side.
- Turn the panel over and trim the excess DSP on all 3 sides.
- Voilà!
- Put a strip of Sticky Tape along the edge and place the Ruffle Ribbon.
- Add a button and twine with glue dots.
- Use dimensionals to place the panel on your card.
I hope this will help. Email me if you have questions.
